Social Activities

LIVE! at Holy Grounds

LIVE! at Holy Grounds features live performers from the congregation each month in the Holy Grounds Café. Check out a few minutes from our first show, featuring Will Ulrich.

Sports Leagues

Mount Carmel is part of two Wauwatosa Recreational League sports programs. We have a Coed volleyball team that plays in the Fall and Winter leagues on Wednesday evenings as well as a Men’s Softball team that plays in the summer in the Wauwatosa Church League softball program on Tuesday evenings. If you are interested in playing in one of these leagues, please contact the church office.

Mount Carmel Softball

Mount Carmel participates in the Tosa Recreation League Men’s Church League softball games on Tuesday nights from early May through the middle of August. The games are played on alternative Tuesdays at Whitman Middle School (Center St. and US 45) or Hart Park (off of State Street in the Village of Wauwatosa).

Congregation Events

The Congregational Life Committee provides opportunities for fellowship between all members to deepen their faith and to strengthen bonds within and between members. Some of the events that are held include the All Saints Progressive Dinner, Deck the Halls Christmas decorating, the Center Street Celebration, participation in the Wauwatosa Fourth of July Parade, Fall and Spring Clean Up days, outings to Brewer games, Ravinia, high school and community drama events, and a variety of shared meals and celebrations. All are welcome to participate in these activities.

Bridge Marathon

Do you play bridge and enjoy the company of other bridge players? How about a bit of “snacking” as you play? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, we hope you will consider joining the Mount Carmel Bridge Marathon. There are groups for women, as well as a couples’ group, who play once a month beginning in September and ending in May. The people who play are friendly and fun – no “killer” players – so don’t be shy! Contact Joy Nolte for more information at (414) 774-2626.
