Men′s Ministry

Men’s Ministry was formed in January 2007 to provide fellowship; opportunities for learning and spiritual growth through Bible study, outreach projects and evangelism; and to be a source of support for men in the congregation and community. The men raised the funds to purchase a life saving AED unit for the church in 2008. All events and study groups are open to all Mount Carmel men and their friends.

Men’s Sunday Morning Study

The guys meet on occasional Sundays at 9:40 a.m. in the Conference Room. Watch the weekly bulletin announcements for dates and topics!

Men’s Wednesday Morning Breakfast & Bible Study

This weekly gathering takes place at 7:45 a.m. at Luther Manor (4545 N. 92nd Street, meet at the S-T-U entrance on the north side of the facility). All men and friends are welcome to join the group any Wednesday morning for fellowship, food and sharing God’s word!

Service Opportunities

Once a quarter, we gather at Mount Carmel for our “Get Organized” program to help support the Reformation Lutheran Church Neighborhood Store. We meet at Mount Carmel and load a truck with household items and clothes, including appliances and furniture that are donated by our members and friends for the thrift store at Reformation. Usually we gather for about three hours to complete this ministry. It is a great way to serve and a wonderful way to meet other men!

The men of Mount Carmel also prepare and serve all the food for the annual Center Street Celebration in August, which is Mount Carmel’s twist on the annual church picnic.

Sports Leagues

Men’s softball and co-ed volleyball are wonderful ways for young men to get to know each other and have fun at the same time.
